mk..so i got some new software...and finally got a zipdisk drive. so some stuff is coming soon..i just have to finish it all. its really easy for me to get distacted. its also just really hard to work in class becaue of lack of concentration...hence, i am going to work at home more.

Hey Maura,
Thanks for stopping by.

You have quite an aptitude for images.
Already you are making work with skillful compositions and effective character of line.

You should definitely continue to pursue the art path because if what you are making now is any indication, the work you have yet to make will be a nice addition to the world.

Learn the lessons that come along and keep an open mind to the different modes of visual communication but trust your instincts through it all. While there is a benefit to studying the techniques and styles of existing artists it is easy to start to think that we should make work like "INSERT ARTIST NAME HERE". The real "art" comes from giving voice to our own ideas, using our own visual voice. I think you are doing that and if you maintain that unique character you will be leaving a wonderful mark on history.
